What is your role?

The Public Markets consultant plays the role of an intermediary and facilitator between the end client, their internal clients, and their various suppliers.

  • Participate in defining the acquisition strategy that best serves the client's interests;
  • Connect the customer's purchasing needs with the external supply;
  • Assist the client in drafting their functional requirements;
  • Lead and support the steps related to the procurement process in a pragmatic way to ensure an efficient purchase while complying with administrative and legal procedures;
  • Manage the supplier relationship throughout the execution of the contract with the aim of maximizing the performance of the market/contract;
  • Maintain and develop the culture of public procurement within the organization to ensure compliance with the principles governing public purchasing: Equal treatment, competition, transparency, and proportionality.

Your experience

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree with a focus in law, economics, business, or technical field;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of public procurement;
  • Knowledge of legislation related to public procurement in the classical and/or special sectors;
  • Proven experience in the healthcare and/or energy sectors is an advantage;
  • Perfect command of French with a good knowledge of Dutch and/or English;
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications desired: Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
  • Knowledge of SAP MM and 3P is an asset;
  • Prince2, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, Project Management certification is an asset.
